Rabbi Debora S. Gordon
Rabbi Gordon was ordained at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1997 and has been at Congregation Berith Sholom ever since. She also served as Ritual Director for the Nassau Synagogue for several years and used to commute to Norwich to lead services once a month. She is a Reform Rabbi who leans toward traditional observance. Music and Jewish text are passions she inherited from her grandfathers, and she uses them to bring life and meaning to t’fillot and learning. She is past president of the Capital District Board of Rabbis.
When she is not doing any of those things, she lives on a farm in Brunswick with her partner, their 4 children, and their many animals, including goats and chickens.
