Volunteer

At Congregation Berith Sholom, we are guided by the values of tzedakah (ensuring the basic well-being of others by sharing what we have) and tikkun olam (the obligation to repair the world, to leave it better than we found it). From standing initiatives such as preparing meals for Joseph’s House and Christmas Meals for hundreds of residents in Rensselaer County, to individual efforts to support families in need, members of our congregation actively work to better our congregation, our community and the world, one step at a time.

As a volunteer-driven organization, Congregation Berith Sholom relies on several standing and ad-hoc committees to carry out its work. If you are interested in leading a community service project or in serving the congregation on a standing committee, please contact the main office at 518-272-8872 or berithsholom@gmail.com. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.
